Cannon Brooke has dedicated nearly a decade of his professional life, integrating creativity with analytics in research. Today, Cannon is flourishing in his role as the Director of Prospect Research with Chapman University, combining his data-driven approach with his invaluable and extensive experience concerning prospect identification, wealth analysis, giving trends, and engagement strategy. He previously served as Director of Prospect Research and Management at the University of Hawaii, developing fundraiser metrics and a researcher liaison program. Before that, he served as Associate Director of Prospect Research at Hawaii Pacific Health, where he spearheaded their first prospect research program and grateful patient research screening process. In addition to his time with Hawaii Pacific Health, he served as Field Research Associate for the National Children’s Study and as a Policy Analyst Intern at Grassroot Institute of Hawaii.

A Washington State native, Cannon earned both a bachelor’s degree in political science and history and a master’s degree in political science with a focus on American government and public policy from Western Washington University.

Fundraising Area of Expertise: Cannon is a Data Analytics expert with broad experience in Advancement Services, Prospect Research and Management, Portfolio Development, Moves Management, Donor Engagement Strategy and International Research.
