Debbie Perrone

Executive Associate

Debbie Perrone is a nationally recognized fund-raising professional with more than 35 years of experience. She specializes in corporate and foundation relations, and has helped raise tens of millions of dollars in support of research in a wide range of disciplines, academic program development, and community-based services. Her skills include strategic planning, program management and innovation, proposal preparation, and professional training. At Johns Hopkins University, Debbie served as Executive Director of Corporation and Foundation Relations, and as Director of Development for the School of Public Health. She also has led a nonprofit public health agency and her own consulting firm, and currently directs the Strategic Research Support program at James Madison University. Debbie holds two Master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University, one in Liberal Arts and one in Writing. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in Economic and Social Studies from the University of Manchester (U.K.), and pursued a doctorate in Applied Anthropology at Boston University.
